The Association of International Property Professionals (AIPP) recently announced the shortlist for the AIPP Awards 2011, ahead of the presentation ceremony at A Place in the Sun Live which was held on Friday 11th March where the winners’ names were revealed and ROC investments were shortlisted in the Best Small Agent (Multi Country) award. The awards took place on Thursday 10th March. The judging panel comprised 11 judges and chaired by Christopher Hamer – Property Ombudsman. The panel of judges included professionals from within the UK and international property industries ensuring the panel had a broad mixture of experience. The criteria for the AIPP awards include excellent customer service. The entry process for the awards is complex and detailed. Each entrant is required to conduct a customer service ‘audit’ on their own company. One of the judges, Nigel Lewis, Head of Content at Primelocation.com was amazed at the process. He said “This was my first time as a judge on the AIPP Awards and I was impressed by how detailed the entries were and how robust the judging process proved to be”. “These awards are all about awarding overseas property professionals, who are transparent, follow best practice and embrace business ethics – and the judging process reflected that.” The AIPP are a not-for-profit initiative independent organisation. The goal is to strive towards becoming the benchmark for excellence in the international property industry. This year the presentation took place at Earl’s court in London where the A Place in the Sun Live exhibition was held. The winners were announced by Jonnie Irwin presenter of A Place in the Sun: Home or Away in front of a live consumer audience. AIPP’s Mark sharp offered his congratulations to all the winners and finished off by saying “all entrants should be applauded for taking part. By putting themselves through the entry process and opening themselves up to independent assessment, entrants are playing their part toward defining a benchmark for higher industry standards.” ROC Investments were privileged to be shortlisted in this year’s AIPP awards for our recognised contribution to the overseas property investment market in the Caribbean.
